Speaker Bio:
Rudy is the founder of an accounting and payroll business based in Jackson, Mississippi, where he works closely with small businesses and organizations to support their financial operations and growth. While his current work is in accounting, much of his perspective on leadership was shaped through more than a decade of coordinating and leading teams through domestic and international mission work across Haiti, the United States, and several other countries with Praying Pelican Missions, a nonprofit focused on relationship-driven service and long-term community partnerships.
Originally from Haiti, Rudy moved to the United States in 2015 and has since built both a career and a family in the Jackson community. His experiences leading people across cultures, personalities, and high-pressure environments have shaped a leadership perspective that goes beyond systems and outcomes to focus on the people behind the work.
He believes some of the most important work leaders do will never appear on a report, but will show up in the lives of the people they influence.
About the Event:
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
- Recognize the difference between focusing on project outcomes and recognizing the human impact within project work
- Identify moments in their leadership where they may be “looking” at people instead of truly engaging with them
- Apply simple, practical ways to become more intentional in how they engage with and develop the people they work with
