Speaker Bio: 

Doug Boone serves as Executive Director of the Fondren Renaissance Foundation, where he leads strategic initiatives to advance growth, investment, and community engagement in one of Jackson’s most distinctive neighborhoods. As the driving force behind Fondren Forward, he is guiding a multi-year vision and implementation effort designed to shape the district’s next chapter through structured planning, stakeholder alignment, and disciplined execution.

Doug brings more than 30 years of experience in consulting, nonprofit leadership, healthcare strategy, and corporate project management. He retired in 2024 from Methodist Rehabilitation Center, where he served eight years as Vice President of Business Development and Community Relations, overseeing brand strategy, market growth, and service line expansion.

Earlier in his career, Doug spent 20 years with IBM Global Services in consulting and project management roles. He later served as President and CEO of the Community Foundation of Greater Jackson before establishing and directing the Project Management Office for international retailer Hudson’s Bay Company, where he built governance structures and portfolio oversight processes to support enterprise initiatives.

He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Mississippi and a Master of Business Administration from Millsaps College.

Doug remains deeply engaged in community leadership, serving as Treasurer of Operation Shoestring, President of the Hundred Club of Jackson, President of the Advisory Board for the Millsaps College Else School of Management, and as a member of the University of Mississippi Medical Center Development Advisory Council.

He and his wife, Crisler, have two grown sons.
