Speaker Bio: 

Jamie Miller is a public policy professional focused on issues impacting Mississippi’s
economy, culture, and development.

Miller was born in Gulfport and is a graduate of Gulfport High School. He earned an
associate degree from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, where he attended on
a baseball scholarship, and later received a Bachelor of Science degree from the
University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg. He has worked on the Gulf Coast,
Jackson, and Washington DC to bring positive outcomes to the challenges facing South
Mississippi and the state at large.

Miller joined the Gulf Coast Business Council in November of 2022 as the 4th President
and CEO. As CEO, Miller engages business and industry leaders to advocate for regional
solutions to important issues related to the economy and quality of life in Coastal
Mississippi. He organizes and leads monthly membership meetings and hosts quarterly
policy forums alongside other economic and community development organizations. The
business council hosts the annual State of the Coast Symposium. Miller also serves as
President of the council’s Research Foundation and Political Action Committee.

Miller has been married to his wife Kelli for 28 years. They have two daughters and a son.
Their daughter Maddison is married and lives in Birmingham, AL. Carson, is a 3rd year
law student at Mississippi College, School of Law in Jackson, MS. Their son Landon
attends Stanford University in Palo Alto, CA.
