Buck Norred is an Information Technology Director with a Cyber Security specialty. He has worked in the I.T. field as a leader for 21 years. He has specialized in cyber security for the past 10 years earning his Certified Ethical Hacker(CEH) and Certified Information System Security Professional(CISSP) certifications. Buck lives in Foley, Alabama with his wife and 4 children. He is an adjunct professor at the University of Mobile, where his most rewarding moments are mentoring the next generation of I.T. professionals. During his career, Buck as recovered data from crashed servers, defended against new unidentified viruses, and recovered servers and business processes after hacking attacks. He is now devoting time to teaching professionals about cyber security risks and how to minimize the probability and impact.
About the Presentation:
We will begin with a brief presentation that provides an overview about cybersecurity, current risks, and the importance of risk management. The subject matter will start with the current cybersecurity attack vectors and the dangers. We will then discuss how cybersecurity can address these dangers. Finally, knowing the dangers and potential security controls, we will address risk management at the organizational and project levels.
