Synopsis/Summary:

Session Title: PM Techniques to Change Your Failing Project to a Successful Project

Related Talent Triangle Area:  Leadership and Technical Project Management

Synopsis/Summary of the Topic:  Many times we are given a project that is failing, or not as successful as expected. We did not have a hand in planning the project, selecting the staff, establishing success criteria, or MOST IMPORTANTLY, establishing the project management underpinnings.  Yet, we have been tasked with ‘saving the project’.  I will attempt to provide some insights and techniques that I used successfully to deliver IT projects that were failing.

Target Audience: Project Managers, Task Managers, and Project team members.

Speaker Bio Summary:

  • Full Name: Louis H. Tominack II, PMP
  • Current Title and/or role within their organization: Director of Strategic Growth @ Tripoint Solutions, LLC
  • College/University attended: BS – West Liberty State University, West Liberty, WV
  • Most notable accomplishment: This may sound weird, but --- When I was asked to relocate to another state to run the IT business, my leadership team stepped up and took the reins, with little to no disruption in business operations. I prepared them well!
